EGI-Rechner Logic Controllers
Rechner's line of EGI Rechner Logic Controllers make integrating sensors into new and existing projects easy. The EGI-RLC series controllers are a DC power supply, relay contacts, and logic - all in one easy to use package.
The new Rechner Logic Controllers are the easiest way to integrate sensors in any project. It really is level control made easy.

The core model (EGI-RLC) simplifies the use of DC sensors by combining a DC power supply, relay, and terminal blocks while also eliminating the need to cut, strip, tin, and label wires. This simplifies installations, saves space, and saves time all while increasing your company's productivity by automating tasks. The relay can be connected to control an AC pump or motor, or even be used to output a signal into a PLC.

An additional model (EGI-RLC-TD) includes a time delay feature. This can be set either to delay energizing the built-in relay after the sensor has detected the level or delay de-energizing the relay after the sensor no longer sees the product. A trimming potentiometer allows you to adjust the time delay between 0.1-60 seconds.

Instructions for Pump-In & Pump-out systems with wiring diagram: PDF
For a more completely automated system, a min-max model is also available (EGI-RLC-MM). Connect two sensors to this unit and place them at your low level and your high level points in a tank. When the level in the tank drops below the min sensor, the relay will energize to start a pump or a motor. The relay will remain energized until the tank has been filled to the max sensor. At this point, the relay will de-energize and stop the filling process. The relay will remain de-energized until the level drops below the min sensor again. The cycle then repeats to keep the tank filled. This model simplifies a complex task without the need to hire a PLC programmer. Otherwise, integrate this preprogrammed logic into your existing PLC to save space, time, and PLC inputs.
